Chuck Grassley: Still tweeting out of both sides of his grasshole.
Chuck Grassley. The man seems to think he can continue to be on both sides of the health-care debate. Especially on Twitter.
His latest tweet is a classic of greasy politico dissimulation:
End of life debate is deliberate atempt to focus attention away fr cost of Pelosi bill. Instead shld focus on lowering cost of health delivry
Funny, Chuck, you weren’t concerned about focusing attention away from the cost of the bill when you made your comments about “pulling the plug on grandma“, before demurring that “We dropped end-of-life provisions from consideration entirely because of the way they could be misinterpreted and implemented incorrectly.”
Now Chuck wants to talk about cost. Well, as I mentioned in my last Grassley-Death Panel post, the cost to the insurance companies of keeping Chuck on board their agenda has been a paltry $13 per person that died in the years of 2003-2008 under our present broken health-care system. That’s the cost, right there: 154,000 Americans who died prematurely because the insurance companies can neither tolerate competition nor dilute their profits by, you know, actually covering sick people.
